Two people were killed and three others injured in a head-on collision between a CNG-run three-wheeler and a covered van on the Bhola-Charfashion highway in Bangkhali area under Daulatkhan upazila of the district this afternoon.
One of the deceased was identified as Sujit Goldar, son of Nirmal Goldar, a resident of Ward No-3 of Kalma Union of Lalmohan upazila. The identity of the other victim could not be known immediately.
The accident occurred in the area when CNG-run three-wheeler collided head-on with a covered van around 1pm, leaving two passengers of the three-wheeler dead on the spot and three others injured, Banglabazar Police Investigation Center In-charge Md Zakir Hossain said.
The injured were taken to Bhola Sadar Hospital, he said.
A case was filed in this connection.
