2 Khulna journalists acquitted from ICT case

A tribunal on Monday acquitted two journalists from a case filed under the Information and Communication Technology Act in 2017.

Khulna Divisional Cyber Tribunal Judge Kanika Biswas pronounced the judgment at noon in presence of the accused.

Those acquitted are acting editor of Dainik Somoyer Khobor Kazi Motahar Rahman Babu and its reporter Shohag Dewan.

On May 18, 2017, a report was published in the Bangla daily headlined โ€˜Complexities again in recruiting staff in Khulna Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court! President resignedโ€™.

Tapan Kumar Saha, then acting administrative officer of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate filed a case in this connection against Babu and Shohag.
