Rajshahi: A two-day international conference titled 'Issues Around Pedagogy: Teaching-Learning Strategies in Arts and Humanities for the 21st Century' commenced today at Rajshahi University (RU).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the conference is hosted by the RU Faculty of Arts for the third consecutive year. The event was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Saleh Hassan Naquib at the Senate Building, with Dean of the Faculty Prof Belal Hossain presiding over the ceremony.
The opening ceremony saw speeches from notable figures including VC of Southeast University Prof Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, RU Pro-VCs Prof Mayeen Uddin and Prof Farid Uddin Khan, Emirate Professor of Malaysia International Islamic University Roznani Hashim, and his colleague Prof Radwan Jamal Yousuf Al-Atrash.
Prof Naquib emphasized the importance of the conference, highlighting how integrated research can spark new ideas and thinking methods. He noted the value of interaction among researchers and academics from different countries, which can lead to enhanced research opportunities and inspire new researchers.
The conference will feature the presentation of 216 research papers in English, Bangla, Arabic, Persian, and Urdu languages across 36 sessions held at nine different venues. Over 400 researchers, specialists, and resource persons from 13 countries are participating in this significant academic event.
