1,77,709 Candidates Set to Take SSC Exams Under Rajshahi Board

Rajshahi: A total of 1,77,709 candidates from 2,709 educational institutions are gearing up to participate in this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations under the Rajshahi Education Board. These examinations are scheduled to take place at 274 centers spread across eight districts.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the board has completed all the necessary preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations. Official sources report that out of the total candidates, 93,174 are male and 85,535 are female. The candidates are categorized into 146,542 regular candidates, 31,019 irregular candidates, and 148 grade improvement candidates.



In terms of group-wise distribution, 92,967 students belong to the Science group, 79,804 are from Humanities, and 4,897 are from Business Studies. Assistant Exam Controller (Confidential) of the Rajshahi Education Board, Jahirul Haque, stated that all preparations for the SSC examinations have been finalized. CCTV cameras will be installed in every examination room at all centers to ensure transparency and prevent any unfair practices.



In addition to the board’s vigilance teams, local administration at district and upazila levels will supervise the examinations to maintain a peaceful and cheating-free environment. Question papers have already been distributed to the offices of concerned deputy commissioners. Exam Controller, Professor Ariful Islam, mentioned that Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Hoque Milon provided necessary instructions in a meeting with centre secretaries prior to the exams.



Following those directives, the board is ready to conduct the SSC examinations in a fair and cheating-free manner with strict monitoring, including CCTV coverage in every room. Professor Ariful Islam also urged students to remain focused on their studies, as the examinations are set to begin on April 21, leaving limited time for preparation.
