Customs officials recovered 14 gold bar weighing
around 1.63 kg at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram on Friday.
Customs intelligence officials said based on information, a team of Customs Intelligence and
National Security Intelligence (NSI) conducted a joint drive and found the gold bars under an
empty passenger seat of Air Arabia flight, coming from Sharjah of the United Arab Emirates
(UAE) this morning.
Necessary legal action regarding this will be taken soon, the official said.
The gold will be deposited in government treasury.
