Parbatipur: A mobile court seized 1,200 liters of petrol illegally stored in the Parbatipur Bus Terminal area under Parbatipur police station in Dinajpur district and fined a businessman Taka 5,000 on Saturday evening. The operation was a joint effort by RAB-13 and the Parbatipur upazila administration.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the mobile court was led by Parbotipur Upazila Nirbahi Officer M Saddam Hossain. During the raid, they confiscated 1,200 liters of illegally hoarded petrol, which was valued at approximately Taka 1,39,200. The owner of the petrol, businessman Md Raihanul Islam, aged 27, from the Hazipara area under Parbatipur police station of Dinajpur district, was fined Taka 5,000.
The press release issued by RAB-13's Senior Assistant Director (Media) and Additional Superintendent of Police Biplab Kumar Goswami emphasized that RAB-13 will continue its ongoing drive to enforce the zero tolerance policy against crimes such as illegal hoarding, selling goods at excessive prices, and food adulteration.
