A 12-year-old boy succumbed to his injury after being knocked down by an unidentified vehicle in the capital’s Jatrabari in the early hours of Friday, police said.
The deceased Sohan, son of Md Johirul, was from village Boroitola of Islampur upazila, Jamalpur.
He used to live with his parents in a Jatrabari slum.
Sohan went out of his house in the morning and died as he had been hit by a speeding vehicle at the Jatrabari intersection, said Rafikul Islam, sub-inspector of Jatrabari Police Station.
The vehicle is yet to be identified, he added.
