His body was discovered near a banana orchard in Char-Chapra village. Ahmad Ali, the victim's younger brother, filed a case with the Kumarkhali Police Station following the murder.

The police investigation led to a charge sheet being submitted against 21 suspects on September 30, 2013. The verdict was reached after a thorough judicial process, as confirmed by Public Prosecutor Advocate Monir Hossain.
