11-Party Alliance’s Divisional Rally Set for Rajshahi on Saturday

Rajshahi: The divisional rally of the 11-party alliance, spearheaded by the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, is scheduled to take place at the historic Madrasa Maidan in Rajshahi this Saturday, May 16. The rally aims to press for the implementation of the referendum verdict, address public suffering, and secure a fair distribution of Padma River water. The event is slated to commence at 2 PM, as indicated in a statement released on Thursday.



According to United News of Bangladesh, Ameer-e-Jamaat Dr. Shafiqur Rahman will be the chief guest at the rally. The gathering is set to feature speeches from leaders of the 11-party alliance and opposition members of parliament. Organizers have expressed their intent to attract a significant number of participants, with expectations of several lakh leaders, activists, and supporters from various districts in the northern region, including Rajshahi.



Maulana Rafiqul Islam Khan, the Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Rajshahi regional director, has urged people from all walks of life in the northern region to join the rally. He emphasized the importance of supporting the rally’s demands, underscoring the need for a successful turnout to advance their objectives.
