Barishal: One hundred eight dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the past 24 hours till this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during this period, 89 patients were hospitalized in Barishal, four in Chattogram, one in Rajshahi, three in Dhaka division, one in Dhaka north, and 10 in various hospitals in Dhaka south, as stated by a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of dengue cases has risen to 5,411, with 23 reported deaths from the disease this year. In the past 24 hours, 75 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals, contributing to a total of 4,907 patients released across the country.
Last year, the total number of dengue cases reached 101,214, with 575 deaths reported, as noted in the DGHS statement.
