A 22-year-old year youth was killed after being hit by a train at Kamalapur TT Para rail gate on Tuesday.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The train hit him while he was walking near a rail track, leaving him dead on the spot around 6 am, said sub-inspector of Bangladesh Railway Police Anwar Hossain.
Police sent the body to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
