Three reporters win ‘RAC Best Reporting Award’

Three reporters of three different media houses on Sunday received ‘RAC Best Reporting Award’ under three categories.

The prize giving ceremony of the first ever award by Reporters’ against Corruption (RAC) was held at the ACC headquarters after the views- exchange programme with media professionals.

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah along with the members of the jury board distributed the awards to the recipients.

The award was given in three categories. Daily Jugantar Senior Reporter Sirajul Islam in the print category, Maasranga Television Special Correspondent Kawsar Soheli in electronic media and Bangla Tribune Senior Reporter Nuruzzaman Labu in online media received the awards.

The prize money of each category was Tk 75,000. The winners were also given crests and certificates.

The Daily Ajker Patrika Editor Professor Dr Golam Rahman, Dhaka Bureau Chief of AFP Shafiqul Alam, and Chief News Editor of Maasranga Television Rejaul Haque Raja were in the jury board for the RAC Best Reporting Award-2021.

Earlier, the Commission organised a views- exchange programme with media professionals marking its 17th anniversary in the same venue.

Chairman Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah discussed the different issues faced by the journalists and assured them of possible solutions.

ACC Commissioner (Enquiry) Dr Mozammel Haque Khan, another Commissioner (Investigation) Md Jahurul Haque, ACC Secretary Dr Md Anwar Hossain Howlader, among others were also present at the programme.
