Tamim to miss T20Is home series vs Pakistan

Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal will also miss the T20I home series against Pakistan which is set to take place this month.

Due to injury and lack of match time, Tamim withdrew himself from the ongoing T20 World Cup. He rather took part in the Everest Premier League in Nepal but couldn’t complete the event as he sustained a fresh injury on his thumb.

The left-handed batter recently said he would make a comeback with the Test series against Pakistan.

The star batter is now close to making a comeback to competitive cricket with the ongoing National Cricket League for Chattogram.

“I would start batting from November 7,” Tamim told a media recently. “I’ve talked to the doctors and they advised me to start batting a week later. I’m eyeing to take part in the fifth round of NCL.”

Tamim played his last international match in July this year against Zimbabwe. Against the same opponent, he played his last T20I match back in 2020.
