Small fire at BSCIC complex in Mirpur brought under control

A fire broke out at the eight-storey BSCIC Electronics Complex building in the city’s Mirpur 11 on Tuesday night.

Fortunately, no casualties were reported, said fire service sources.

On information, two units of Mirpur Fire Service reached the spot at 7.52 pm.

Shahjahan Sikder, deputy assistant director (media cell) of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters said, after almost half an hour of effort they managed to douse the fire at 8.25 pm.

“We are initially suspecting a loss of Tk 50,000,” he said.
