Mahbub Reza earned double crown in the Jatiya Press Club Table Tennis competition by winning both the singles and doubles titles of the meet held at the Abdus Salam Hall of the club on Saturday.
Earlier, JPC President Farida Yesmin and General Secretary Elias Kham inaugurated the meet, organized on the occasion of the 67th founding anniversary of the club and sponsored by Walton.
JPC Joint Secretary Ashraf Ali, Treasurer Shahed Chowdhury, EC members Shahnaj Begum Poly, Rahman Mustafiz, Baktier Rana and other senior journalists were present at the function, conducted by JPC EC member and convener of Sports Sub Committee Shahnaj Siddiqui Soma.
Mahbub Reza clinched the singles crown beating SK Enamul Haque while he shared the doubles title with AKM Shakhawat Hossain beating Tariqul Islam Masum and Anwaruddin pair in the final.
Anwaruddin became 3rd in the singles event while SK Enamul Haque and Golam Mustafa partner finished 3rd in the doubles.
Former General Secretary of Bangladesh Table Tennis Federation Rafiqul Islam Tipu conducted both the singles and doubles matches.
