Police have detained Islamic preacher Mufti Kazi Ibrahim from his Mohammadpur residence for his controversial statement on social media.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam said a team of police detained him in the dead of night for interrogation.
“He is now being interrogated, not arrested yet,” said the DMP commissioner.
