IBBL organises discussion, prayer on National Mourning Day

Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) organised a discussion and dua to observe the National Mourning Day and the 46th martyrdom of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at a virtual platform Sunday.

Professor Md Nazmul Hassan, chairman of the bank, addressed the programme as chief guest and Mohammed Monirul Moula, managing director and CEO of the bank, presided over it.

Professor Dr Md Salim Uddin, chairman of executive committee, Mohammad Solaiman, chairman of audit committee, Major General (retd) Abdul Matin, chairman of risk management committee; directors Md Joynal Abedin and Professor Dr Qazi Shahidul Alam addressed the programme as special guests.

Professor Dr Mohammad Gias Uddin Talukder, chairman of IBBL Shari’ah Supervisory Committee, conducted the dua and munajat.

IBBL directors Professor Dr Md Sirajul Karim, Professor Md Kamal Uddin, Syed Abu Asad, Dr Tanveer Ahmad, Md Quamrul Hasan, Professor Dr Mohammad Saleh Jahur, Professor Dr Md Fashiul Alam, Khurshid-Ul-Alam and Mohammed Nasir Uddin also attended the programme.

Additional managing directors Muhamad Qaisar Ali and Md Omar Faruk Khan addressed the programme, too.

Professor Dr Mohammad Abdus Samad, member secretary of Shari’ah Supervisory Committee; deputy managing directors Abu Reza Md Yeahia, J Q M Habibullah, and Md Mostafizur Rahman Siddiquee; Chief Risk Officer Mohammad Ali, SM Rabiul Hassan, principal of Islami Bank Training and Research Academy, attended the programme.

Also, 16 zonal offices of the bank organised virtual discussions separately. Earlier in the morning, IBBL placed a floral wreath at the memorial of Bangabandhu at Dhanmondi 32.
