Newly appointed Spanish Head Coach of Bangladesh National Football team Havier Fernandez Cabrera initially selected 30 footballers to form a national team for the ensuing Asian Games to be held inChinese city Hangzhou from September 10-25.
In the Asian Games Football, National U-23 football team is allowed to participate giving an opportunity to include maximum three senior players in the squad.
Bangladesh coach Cabrera picked up five booters to file up the team’s three senior players quota. They are: Jamal Bhuiya, Sohel Rana, Anisur Rahman Zico, Rakib Hossain and Sumon Reza .
Bangladesh preliminary squad are:
Goalkeeper: Anisur Rahman Zico, Pappu Hossain, Mahfuz Hasan Pritom and Mitul Marma.
Defender: Rahmat Miya, Riyadul Hasan, Yeasin Arafat, Rimon Hossain, Tariq Kazi, Imran Khan, Tutul Hossain Badsha, Bishwanath Ghose, Issa Faisal and Shahin Miah.
Midfielder : Rakib Hossain, Jamal Bhuiya, Biplu Ahmed, Sohel Rana, Manik Hossain Mollah, Papon Singh, Enamul Kazi, Fahim Morshed. Ashraful Haque and Sabbir Hossain.
Forward: Sumon Reza, Meraj Hossain Opi, Faisal Ahmed Fahim, Mahbubur Rahman, Mohammad Jewel and Shahriar Emon
