BCL hall conference held after long 5 years

The hall conference of Dhaka University Chhatra League unit was held on Sunday after a gap of five years on TSC premises.

Amid playing of national anthem and releasing pigeons President of Dhaka University Chhatra League Sanjit Chandra Das inaugurated the conference,

A cultural session was held before the beginning of the main part of the conference.

Borikul Islam Badhon, former president of Bangabandhu Hall Chhatra League unit and convener of conference preparatory committee presided over the conference.

Present at special guests were Awami League presidium member Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Awami League presidium member Abdur Rahman, joint general secretary of Bangladesh Awami League AFM Bahauddin Nasim, organisational secretary BM Mojammel Houqe, BCL president Al Nahiyan Khan joy and BCL general secretary Lekhak Vatyacharya.

General Secretary of DU Chhatra League unit Saddam Hussein was the keynote speaker while Sanjit Chandra Das delivered the opening speech.

Nanak said Bangladesh has achieved impressive economic development despite Covis-19 pandemic. He mentioned the progress in the implementation of mega projects like Metro Rail, Padma Bridge and Ruppur Atomic centre,

He warned against conspiracy being hatched by BNP-Jamaat against the government and asked BCL members to be on guard.

Abdur Rahman also urged BCL members to resist the conspirators and anti-independence forces.

He called upon the BCL members to follow the ideals of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in building the country.

AFM Bahauddin said without Bangabandhu and his great leadership Bangladesh would not have achieved independence.

BM Mozammel said when Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was imprisoned uncder the historic Agartala case, Bangladesh Chhatra League and DUCSU leaders came together for his release from jail.

All departing hall presidents and general secretaries were given mementoes by the special guests.
