Bangladesh’s shameful batting record in T20I

When they were bowled out for 84 by South Africa in their World Cup game on Tuesday, Bangladesh created a shameful record of being dismissed thrice below 100 runs in a year in the T20 International Cricket on Tuesday.

Bangladesh is the lone Test playing and full member country in the world to have that —twice against New Zealand (once at home and once away) and once against South Africa in their latest match at the World Cup.

In the day’s match, Bangladesh were bundled out cheaply for 84 runs in 18. 2 overs, their 3rd lowest in the T20 World Cup, against South Africa, getting eliminates from the ongoing T20 World Cup with six-wicket defeat at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The team’s present debacle in the shorter version of cricket as they were bundled out for 76 runs against hosts New Zealand in Auckland on April 1, 2021 and again dismissed for the same score of 76 runs on home soil in Dhaka last September, just before the ongoing T20 World Cup.
