Rangamati District clinched Group A title of Bangamata National Women’s Football Championship eliminating Cox’s Bazar District by 2-0 goal in the final at the Bir Shreshto Shaheed Shipahi Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur on Wednesday
In the day’s final, Maloni Chakma put Rangamati ahead in the 29th minute while Bithi Chakma confirmed the Rangmati victory scoring one more goal in the 43rd minute.
Earlier, Rangamati reached the group final eliminating another Hill District Khagrachhari by 2-1 goal in the first semifinal while Cox’s Bazar booked a seat for the final eliminating hosts Feni District by 4-1 goal in tie-breaker as the group semifinal between them was locked in goalless in the stipulated period.
