ACC U-19 Asia Cup: Bangladesh, Sri Lanka reach semifinal

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka reached the semifinal of the ACC U-19 Asia Cup Cricket from Group B as the Island nation Sri Lanka outplayed Nepal by 60 runs at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in UAE on Sunday.

Batting first, Sri Lanka piled up 322 runs for 4 in 50 overs and later they dismissed Nepal for 262 runs in 47.5 overs to win match comfortably as well as to assure their semifinal berth.

After the day’s match, both the Bangladesh and Sri Lanka advanced to the semifinal with an all-win run securing full four points from two matches and will play each other in the remaining group match on Tuesday to decide the group champions.

Two other teams of Group B, Nepal and Kuwait, which were eliminated from the meet after conceding two successive defeats, will meet each other on Tuesday for their first victory,

Earlier, Bangladesh earned massive 227 runs victory over Kuwait and a 154-win over Nepal.
