Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) members arrested five drug peddlers from Shahjahanpur area in the capital on Wednesday.
Around 20,000 yaba pills, a truck and a private car were seized from them.
The arrestees are Md. Kauser, 28,Md. Yasin, 21, Md. Salauddin 34, Md. Jewel Mia, 28 and Belal Hossain, 38.
Based on an intelligence report, a Rab-3 team conducted the drive at around 3:30 pm and arrested them, said sources within the elite force.
The arrestees were members of a gang who buy Yaba pills from the border areas of the country and sell those in the capital and other parts of the country.
Process is underway to file a against them at Shahjahanpur police station.
