Dhaka: Dr. Zubaida Rahman, a renowned cardiologist and Vice President of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation, is scheduled to visit the University of Dhaka (DU) on Wednesday. The visit is part of a special event organized by the foundation.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the Ziaur Rahman Foundation released a press statement on Tuesday announcing the visit. The foundation is organizing a month-long tree plantation programme and the ‘Search for Future Scientists Science Fair 2026’ in commemoration of the 45th death anniversary of former President Ziaur Rahman.
Dr. Rahman has agreed to inaugurate these programmes as the chief guest. The inauguration is set for 11 am on Wednesday at the Central Gallery of the Department of Botany, Curzon Hall, University of Dhaka. The event will also feature DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ABM Obaidul Islam as a special guest, and ZRF Acting Executive Director Professor Dr. Morshed Hasan Khan will preside over the programme.
