Zia Memorial Book Fair-2026 Commences Marking BNP’s Founding Anniversary

Dhaka: The 'Zia Memorial Book Fair-2026' is set to begin at the Bangla Academy premises in the city today, marking the 48th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the central committee of the Zia Memorial Library has organized the fair to promote and disseminate books that highlight the policies and ideals of the BNP. The event also focuses on literary works based on the life and legacy of its founder, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman.

The fair is scheduled to be formally inaugurated at 3:30 pm at the Bangla Academy premises. Dr. Zubaida Rahman, Vice President of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF), will attend the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest. President of the Central Committee of Zia Memorial Library and Dhaka South City Corporation Administrator Abdus Salam will preside over the event.

Md. Abdus Sattar Patoari, vice president of the organizing committee and convener of the fair, stated that the fair will remain open to the public on the occasion of the party's founding anniversary. Leaders and activists from different levels of BNP and its associate organizations, along with writers, researchers, and visitors, will participate in the event.
