Barishal:Prime Minister’s Political Adviser Zahir Uddin Swapan has issued a warning about potential conspiracies against the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in the upcoming local government elections. He indicated that fugitive fascist elements and covert forces might exploit intra-party competition to fuel internal divisions within the BNP.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, these groups are allegedly plotting to create chaos in the country. Swapan emphasized the importance of BNP leaders and activists remaining vigilant to avoid falling into traps of provocation. He addressed these concerns during meetings with BNP leaders and activists in various unions of Gournadi and Agailjhara upazilas in Barishal, which is his parliamentary constituency.

Barishal North District BNP Member Secretary Mizanur Rahman Khan Mukul attended the meetings as a special guest, alongside other leaders from the upazila and union BNP. Swapan also mentioned that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has informed the nation about intelligence reports indicating attempts to create chaos and unrest among workers in factories across several locations.

Swapan urged BNP leaders and activists to maintain strong unity to thwart any conspiracies against the party. He stressed that no one should be able to weaken the BNP or hinder development activities in the context of the local government elections.
