Dinajpur: A day-long Youth Summit was held today at Dinajpur Haji Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU). The event was organized by the Skill Development Club of HSTU and took place from 10 am to 2 pm, as confirmed by Md. Khademul Islam, director of the Public Relations Department at HSTU.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the summit centered on the theme of creating ‘Policy and Leadership’ for the youth. It featured various sessions that explored policy recommendations, leadership, and problem-solving. Key issues discussed during the summit included education, health, climate change, migration, democracy, and youth politics.
Participants engaged in group presentations and open discussions on these topics. They expressed that the summit provided valuable insights into the importance of policymaking and leadership. Through collaborative discussions and problem-solving exercises, they discovered practical solutions to pressing issues like education and health.
The students noted that the summit enhanced their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which they believe will be beneficial for future leadership roles. Md. Rafiqul Islam Rakib, president of the Skill Development Club, emphasized the importance of youth awareness in policymaking and leadership, stating, “We, the youth, are the future of the country, and it is very important to be aware of policymaking and leadership to build the future.”
