Sylhet: A day-long Youth Startup Summit-2025 took place at the Shahjalal Science and Technology University auditorium, aiming to encourage and empower young entrepreneurs from across the country.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Startup Bangladesh Ltd., under the ICT Division, hosted the Youth Startup Summit-2025, which featured the launch of the ‘Youth Innovation Challenge 2025’, alongside discussions and exhibitions. The summit sought to inspire participants by requiring them to submit original ideas rather than copies of existing solutions, as detailed in a press release.
From a large number of applications, eight teams were chosen to present their startup concepts to a panel of judges. The teams included InclusiCare, Pritilata, AutoMAMA, Game Changer, SignTalk, Synerbotics, Electric, and Daricomma. The judging panel was composed of prominent professionals from related sectors.
The competition concluded with a prize-giving ceremony, where Professor Dr. AM Sarwaruddin Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of SUST, and Professor Dr. Md Shajedul Karim, Pro Vice Chancellor of SUST, announced the winners. SignTalk was declared the winner, receiving a prize of Tk. 3,00,000, while InclusiCare and Daricomma earned Tk. 2,00,000 and Tk. 1,00,000 as the first and second runners-up, respectively.
Quamrun Naher Siddiqua, Additional Secretary of the ICT Division, inaugurated the event as the chief guest, with speeches from Sami Ahmed, Managing Director of Startup Bangladesh Ltd., and other notable figures. The summit provided valuable networking opportunities for participants.
