Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a youth with two guns from the Belal Bazar area of Gomastapur upazila in Chapainawabganj on Monday night.
The arrestee has been identified as Delwar, 20, son of Venchu Islam of the Ranibari Chandpur Muktarpara area in Shibganj upazila.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Rab from Rajshahi’s Mollapara conducted a drive in the area around 8pm on Monday and arrested Delwar. Two guns, four rounds of bullets and two magazines were seized from his possession, Rab-5 said in a statement.
Legal action will be taken against the arrestee, it said.
