Dhaka: State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yasser Khan Choudhury today laid the foundation stone for the construction of an approach road to a 96-metre-long PSC girder bridge over the Narsunda River at Kaliganj Bazar in Nandail upazila of the district. Speaking at the foundation laying ceremony, he highlighted the government's ongoing efforts to enhance the rural infrastructure and communication network across the country.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Yasser Khan Choudhury emphasized that the completion of the approach road will significantly improve transportation for local residents. This development aims to invigorate agricultural and economic activities in the region, providing a much-needed boost to the local economy.
Earlier in the day, marking the beginning of his three-day official visit, the state minister traveled from Dhaka to Nandail. He participated in Jummah prayers at the Moazzempur Saheb Bari Jame Mosque in Nandail before proceeding to the foundation stone laying ceremony.
Following the afternoon event, Yasser Khan Choudhury engaged in a views-exchange meeting with party leaders and activists at the Nandail Upazila BNP office. The event was attended by local administration officials, political figures, and prominent personalities from the area.
