Rabat:World Mental Health Day will be observed tomorrow, emphasizing the theme "Lived experiences heard real voices, real change." The theme underscores the significance of listening to individuals with mental health conditions and involving them in decisions impacting their lives.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, President and Prime Minister have issued separate messages recognizing the day. The messages highlight the importance of giving people with lived mental health experiences a meaningful role in shaping mental health policies, designing services, and evaluating care.

The World Health Organization (WHO) advocates for the involvement of those with lived experience to help reduce stigma, protect human rights, and ensure that services meet the actual needs of individuals. WHO also calls for a transition from institution-based care to community-based mental health services that promote dignity, independence, and inclusion.
