Dhaka: A daylong workshop on HIV and human rights is set to be held for legal aid officials in the capital on September 19. Training Wing-1 of the Law and Justice Division issued a notification today, announcing the event titled "Orientation on HIV and Human Rights with Legal Aid Officials," organized by the National AIDS/STD Control of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, eighteen legal aid officials from various regions of the country have been selected to participate in the workshop, which will take place at the auditorium of the Directorate of Bangladesh Legal Aid. The workshop aims to enhance the participants' understanding of HIV-related human rights issues.
The notification also mentioned that 'The Global Fund' will cover all expenses associated with the participation in the workshop, underscoring the importance of the event in equipping legal professionals with essential knowledge and skills to advocate for individuals affected by HIV.
