Workshop on Boosting Ropa Aman Cultivation Held in Netrakona

Netrakona: A day-long special workshop was held here today with a view to increasing agricultural productivity and formulating a comprehensive action plan for expanding the cultivation and production of Ropa Aman rice in the district.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the workshop was organised under the project “Increasing Crop Intensity in Greater Mymensingh Region (1st Revised)” at the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), Khamarbari. The event was attended by the Additional Director (Current Charge) of DAE, Mymensingh Region. Agriculturist Salma Akhter graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Project Director Agriculturist Mostafa Kamal participated as the special guest.



The session was presided over by Deputy Director of Netrakona DAE Agriculturist Md Amirul Islam. The workshop brought together agriculture officials, researchers, representatives from relevant government agencies, journalists, and farmers. During the workshop, speakers emphasized the importance of expanding Ropa Aman cultivation and increasing production through the adoption of modern agricultural technologies. Participants also provided recommendations for the effective implementation of the action plan during the upcoming Aman season.
