Dhaka: The semifinals of the BRAC Bank Development Cup Women’s Hockey will take place at two different venues in the capital tomorrow. In the first semifinal, Group A champions Jessore district will face Group B runners-up Kishorganj district at Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium. Meanwhile, Group B champions Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan will compete against Group A runners-up Rajshahi district in the second semifinal at the Bangladesh Airforce Ground. Both the matches kick off at 9 am.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the final of the competition will be held on Saturday at Maulana Bhasani National Hockey Stadium at 2 pm, following the third place-deciding match at 9.30 am at the same venue. Organized by the Bangladesh Hockey Federation, a total of eleven teams-ten district teams and Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP)-participated in the tournament, divided into two groups.
The participating teams were categorized into two groups: Group A included Dinajpur district, Jessore district, Chattogram district, Patuakhali district, and Rajshahi district. Meanwhile, Group B comprised BKSP, Jhenaidah district, Thakurgaon district, Rangpur district, Cumilla district, and Kishorganj district.
