Mollahat: A woman lost her life in a road accident on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Mollahat upazila. The incident took place near the Rahima Filling Station in the Deh Boalia area of the upazila when a Baleshwar Paribahan bus collided with an Easy Bike. The victim, identified as Amena Begum, aged 55, was traveling in the Easy Bike at the time of the collision.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Amena Begum, the wife of the late Dawood Molla from Mollarakul village, became seriously injured due to the head-on collision. Despite efforts by local residents to rescue and provide immediate treatment, Amena Begum succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The accident caused a temporary disruption of traffic on the highway. However, normal traffic flow was restored shortly after the incident. Officials from the Mollahat Highway Police, including Officer-in-Charge Md. Asaduzzaman Hawlader, arrived at the scene to assess the situation and confirmed that legal proceedings concerning the accident are underway.
