Bogra: A woman was killed after being hit by a train at Sonatola Railway Station area in Bogura district on Saturday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Sajeda Begum, 32, wife of Hasan Ali of Hiyatpur area under Gobindaganj upazila in Gaibandha district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in-charge of Bogura Railway Outpost Sub-Inspector Bablur Rahman reported that the Burimari Express train, which left Dhaka, hit the woman while entering Sonatola station around 5:30 pm, throwing her onto the platform. She died on the spot.
On information, police rushed to the scene and recovered the body. He stated that the body was handed over to the family after completing legal procedures.
