Winter Clothing Aid Reaches 500 Families in Sherpur

SHERPUR: The Sherpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry distributed winter clothing to 500 impoverished and distressed families in a bid to alleviate the hardships faced by the vulnerable population of the district. The distribution event took place at the Chamber's office in Tanyani Bazar, with Alhajj M Arif Hossain, acting president of the organization, leading the initiative as the chief guest.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the effort aimed to provide essential support to families struggling to stay warm during the colder months. The event was attended by key figures from the Sherpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including assistant secretary Tanmay Banik and directors Md. Wahid Bin Ferdous Lotus, Ariful Kabir Apel, Sheikh Shovon, Alhajj Md. Mahiuddin Ahmed Mamun, and Md. Tohidiur Rahman Pappu.

The distribution of winter clothes underscores the Chamber's commitment to social responsibility and community support, especially during challenging weather conditions. By addressing the immediate needs of these families, the organization hopes to mitigate the adverse effects of winter on those who are most in need.
