Thakurgaon: BNP Secretary General and party candidate in Thakurgaon-1 constituency, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, has pledged to build a better Bangladesh where the safety of mothers and sisters will be fully ensured, if elected. “If people elect us to form the government, we will build a prosperous and safe Bangladesh where our mothers and sisters will be safe and their dignity will be protected,” the BNP leader said.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Fakhrul was speaking at a public rally in Bhogdagazi area of Jamalpur Union in Thakurgaon Sadar upazila this afternoon as part of his election campaign. Fakhrul emphasized that under a BNP government, the law would function independently, justice would be established, press freedom would be guaranteed, and industries would be set up to create employment.
Fakhrul also urged people not to be misled and to uphold the spirit of the Liberation War and the 2024 July Uprising. He called upon all, especially women, to vote for BNP’s “Sheaf of Paddy” symbol, providing the party with an opportunity to develop the country.
