Dhaka:Water Resources Minister Shahiduddin Chowdhury Anee alleged that the ousted Awami League is involved in a new conspiracy to create instability in the country through 'anarchy and terrorism'.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the minister made these remarks while addressing a protest rally organized by Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal at Shahbagh in the capital. He claimed that the Awami League was collaborating with another force from within and outside the country to plot these activities.
Anee asserted that the BNP is persisting in its struggle against what he termed as two malevolent forces. He emphasized that they are working and fighting for the country, continuing the development journey under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
He also mentioned that the government is actively pursuing a development plan while maintaining its political activities on the streets. The minister criticized the parliamentary opposition for its alleged lack of cooperation and political restraint, accusing them of deteriorating political discourse with abusive language and a lack of civility.
The rally was held following a protest procession from the Central Shaheed Minar to Shahbagh, organized against what the participants described as a conspiracy to destabilize the country through planned acts of violence.
