Dhaka: Water levels at 93 river stations monitored by the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have risen, while 19 stations have recorded a fall. Among the 116 monitored river stations, water levels at four stations have remained steady.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, water levels at all rivers are flowing below the danger level.
The bulletin issued by the FFWC highlighted that the water level of all major rivers is currently below the danger level. The water level of the Brahmaputra-Jamuna rivers is decreasing, a trend that is expected to continue for the next five days, ensuring that these rivers remain below the danger level.
Additionally, the bulletin noted that the water levels of the Ganges-Padma rivers are decreasing. The Ganges is predicted to stabilize, while the Padma's water level may continue to decrease over the next five days, maintaining its flow below the danger level.
The water levels of the Surma and Kushiyara rivers are also on the decline, a trend projected to persist for the next three days. These rivers are anticipated to continue flowing below the danger level, as reported by the FFWC.
