Dhaka: Voting began peacefully at polling centres across the country on Thursday morning, with voters turning up early to cast their ballots amid tight security and a calm atmosphere. Law enforcement personnel were present to maintain order and ensure smooth voting.
According to United News of Bangladesh, a notable number of women voters turned out to exercise their franchise, with their participation visibly higher compared to many previous elections. To ensure a free and fair election, members of law enforcement agencies – including police, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) – were deployed at every polling center.
Dr. Dewan Mohammad Salauddin Babu, a candidate for the Dhaka-19 constituency, cast his vote at the same center.
