Dhaka: The total number of voters in the country has reached 12,83,23,240, according to the latest voter list update for 2026. The information was provided in a statement signed by AHM Anwar Pasha, Director General of the National Identity Registration Wing under the Election Commission (EC) today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the final update of the voter list for 2026 shows that out of the total 12,83,23,240 voters, 6,52,12,731 are male, 6,31,09,266 are female, and 1,243 are transgender voters. The EC reported an increase in the voter roll by 6,28,057 since the previous update, reflecting a growth rate of 0.5 percent.
Earlier, as of November 18, 2025, the total number of voters stood at 12,76,95,183, which included 6,48,14,907 male, 6,28,79,042 female, and 1,234 transgender voters, according to EC data.
