Natore: The 'Voter Gari', a mobile campaign initiative designed to enhance public awareness ahead of the forthcoming referendum and national elections, has reached Natore district. Documentary film screenings commenced on Saturday under the theme 'The key to the country is in your hands' and are set to continue until Monday. These screenings include various documentaries such as speeches by Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus, and films like July Uprising, July Warrior, Abrar Fahad Murder, Felani Murder, Voting of Expatriates, and Reforms through Referendum.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the initiative is part of a nationwide campaign launched by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs on December 22, featuring a fleet of 10 vehicles collectively known as the 'Super Caravan'. In Natore, exhibitions and film screenings were held on Sunday at Biprabelgharia and Madhnagar areas of Naldanga upazila, attracting a large audience despite the severe cold weather.

Md. Zahid Hasan, Rajshahi Divisional Monitoring Supervisor of 'Voter Gari', reported that earlier screenings took place in Gurudaspur and Baraigram upazilas, concluding on Saturday. A screening in Singra upazila is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, with additional screenings planned for Lalpur and Bagatipara upazilas on Monday.

Md. Al Emran Khan, Naldanga Upazila Nirbahi Officer, stated that the initiative's goal is to enhance public awareness about the 13th National Parliament Election and the proposed referendum on the July Charter through these documentary films. Deputy Commissioner Asma Shaheen added that the district administration is fully supporting the programme, emphasizing that the 'Voter Gari' screenings are being organized across upazilas to promote informed public participation in both the national elections and the referendum.
