Manikganj: Voting of the 13th Parliamentary Election and Referendum ended peacefully in all the three constituencies of the district amid a festive mood. The vote started at 7.30 am and continued until 4.30 pm without any interruption. The voters have exercised their voting rights in a peaceful atmosphere as the necessary preparation was taken earlier for holding free, fair, and participatory elections with festivity.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, preliminary reports indicate that more than 60 percent of votes were cast in all three constituencies. Specifically, Manikganj Sadar constituency-3, encompassing Manikganj Sadar and Saturia upazilas, saw a voter turnout of about 65 percent.
The counting of votes was continuing when filing this report.
