Dhaka: A delegation from Visa, led by Stephen Karpin, President of the Asia Pacific region, met with Bangladesh Bank Governor Md Mostaqur Rahman on Wednesday.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the meeting took place at the central bank headquarters and focused on several key areas of mutual interest. The discussions primarily revolved around expanding Bangladesh’s digital payment ecosystem, with a particular emphasis on TakaPay, as well as enhancing the security of the payment system.
The meeting was attended by BB Deputy Governors Dr Md Kabir Ahmed and Md Sarwar Hossain, along with senior officials from the Payment Systems Department of Bangladesh Bank, who contributed to the strategic dialogue.
