Dhaka: Bangladesh has made its mark in the Guinness World Records by achieving a new world record for parachuting with the largest number of national flags on Victory Day. The World Records Management Team officially notified ‘Team Bangladesh’ of this remarkable accomplishment on Monday.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Team Bangladesh set a new world record by simultaneously hoisting 54 national flags during a skydiving event. This historic feat was successfully carried out in Dhaka on December 16, 2025, to commemorate the country’s 54th Victory Day.
Skydivers from various regions across the nation came together under the banner of ‘Team Bangladesh’ to establish this record, symbolizing national unity and cooperation. Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, Executive Chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), expressed his enthusiasm over the international recognition, stating, “Today is a proud day for the people of this country. We want to share this joy with all citizens of Bangladesh.”
The record-setting parachute jump included participants such as Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, Mohammad Asaduzzaman, Khandaker Jahangir Alam, and many others who contributed to this monumental achievement.
