VGF Rice Distributed Among 4,500 Poor Families in Joypurhat

Joypurhat: The distribution of rice under the Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) programme has commenced in Joypurhat municipality ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Azha. Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akhter Chowdhury inaugurated the distribution programme on the premises of Joypurhat Municipality this morning.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the initiative aims to support 4,500 poor families in the region. The inauguration event witnessed the presence of several key officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner and Joypurhat Municipality Administrator M Sabur Ali, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rashedul Islam, Municipality Executive Engineer and Acting Municipal Executive Officer Abu Zafar Md. Reza, Social Development Officer Md. Hasanuzzaman, Administrative Officer Abdul Hashem, and Deputy Assistant Engineer Mizanur Rahman.

This programme is part of the broader efforts to provide essential support to vulnerable groups during significant religious observances. The local administration is working to ensure the efficient and timely distribution of resources to those in need.
