Rajshahi:Arun Kumar Sarkar, a prominent transport labour leader and father-in-law of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Senior Reporter Pradyot Sri Barua, has died following a heart attack at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sarkar was 75 years old and had been dealing with age-related health issues for some time. He was hospitalized after falling ill and passed away while receiving treatment, as confirmed by family sources.
Sarkar, who lived in the Ramchandrapur, Ghoramara area of Rajshahi city, is survived by his wife and four daughters. His cremation is scheduled to take place at the Panchabati crematorium in Rajshahi.
