Jhenaidah: A van driver died after being electrocuted at Garaganj village under Shailkupa upazila of the district on Friday evening. The deceased was Mithu Hossain, 30, son of Keramat Shaha of the area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, locals reported that van driver Mithu Hossain was repairing the tin fence of his house around 6.30 pm when he was accidentally electrocuted and seriously injured.
He was subsequently taken to Shailkupa Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. The incident was confirmed by Shailkupa Police Station Officer-in-Charge Masum Khan.
