Khulna: BNP Students Affairs Secretary and the party-nominated candidate for the Khulna-3 constituency, Rakibul Islam Bokul, announced that the upcoming national election represents more than just a regular election; it is a struggle to restore democracy. His comments were made during a meeting with local party leaders to bolster organizational efforts ahead of the 13th National Parliamentary Election. The meeting took place last night at his residence in the city.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was attended by presidents, general secretaries, and organizational secretaries from the Khanjahan Ali, Daulatpur, and Khalishpur thana units, as well as leaders from various ward units. The discussions during the meeting centered on preparing for the election, enhancing organizational capabilities, communicating the message of the paddy-sheaf to voters, appointing and training polling agents, and ongoing political and social activities within the constituency.

Bokul paid close attention to the opinions and recommendations offered by the leaders. He encouraged all leaders and activists to increase their activity in the field immediately. “We must reach every ward with the message of the paddy-sheaf and prepare polling agents with honesty, competence, and responsibility,” he emphasized.

He also mentioned BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, referring to her as the symbol of democracy, and expressed hopes for her speedy recovery.
